CEP's Vision

The Presbyterian Church in America is made up of churches reflecting a commitment to the Scriptures in the spirit of the historic Reformation demonstrated by their desire to understand and interpret the Word and the world in a way that clearly defines the role of the church and its individual members within the kingdom of God, serving His purpose from a biblically reformed world and life view that centers on God, not man, as the measure of all things. Its members are intentionally thinking Christians, intellectually and spiritually, concerned about daily life. They are being equipped not to withdraw nor to isolate themselves from the world but to actually penetrate this generation with the Gospel to do the work of ministry. The PCA continues to demonstrate a commitment to the ongoing process of evangelizing, training, and encouraging of its members to move into every legitimate area of life, God’s kingdom, knowing that there is no area over which Christ has not said MINE. The PCA is ministering spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and socially to those in and out of the Church. As a result, communities, institutions, and families are being impacted by this ministry.

Christian Education and Publications is a key player in the equipping process that enables the PCA to serve God, His kingdom, and His people in the above manner. It is providing teaching, training, materials, and consulting services from a biblically reformed and evangelical perspective that is encouraging and influencing PCA members in their development of a Christian mind and heart that witnesses to a kingdom of God life-orientation reflected in the building of strong interpersonal relationships upon God’s truth.
