Retreat For Youth Workers and Their Spouses Is Rolling to Ridge
Haven
The Barnabas Connection, a retreat for youth workers and their
spouses, is rolling to Ridge Haven. Ridge Haven is the PCA
Conference and Retreat Center and the Barnabas Connection will be
held from Monday, March 28th to Thursday, March 31st, 2005.
Scotty Smith, senior pastor at Christ Community Church in
Franklin, TN and Stuart Latimer, associate pastor at Covenant
Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN will join youth workers and
their spouses from all over the country. Both men desire to be
used by the Lord to help youth workers and their spouses joyfully
serve the Lord in their ministry.
In addition to the two main speakers there will be many
Christ-honoring and practical seminars led by various PCA youth
ministry leaders. The seminars cover a range of topics: youth
workers' relationships with students and parents, counseling,
technology in student ministry, the importance of theology in
youth ministry and developing and encouraging volunteers.
While couples are encouraged to come, a youth worker whose
spouse cannot attend or unmarried youth workers are also greatly
encouraged to attend. There will truly be something for everyone
at this retreat set in the beautiful Smoky Mountains at Ridge
Haven. Long time PCA member and author of The Living History of
Ridge Haven, Austin Robeson, has called the conference center,
"A place in the mountains for the glory of God and the good
of His people."
Please check out the Barnabas Connection website at
www.barnabasconnection.org for registration information,
descriptions and photos.
The Barnabas Connection-where encouragement, equipping times
and engaging fellowship combine to the honor of Christ and the
good of His youth workers and spouses.
