CE&P and MNA Announce 2007 Mercy
Ministry Conference Plans.
Christian Education and Mission
to North America join hands for the fourth bi-annual PCA Mercy
Ministry Conference. The event will be held in Atlanta at the
Ravinia Hotel April 20-22, 2007. The theme for the conference is
“Enriching the Kingdom: People Hurt, God Calls, the Church
Responds.”
The conference will feature Dr.
Diane Langberg, practicing psychologist, especially dealing with
trauma survivors and clergy. She is a member of Calvary PCA in
Willow Grove, Pa. Langberg is the founder of The Place of Refuge
in Philadelphia. She is well know in our circles as one
dedicated to mercy ministries in many ways.
Dr. Phil Ryken of historic Tenth
Presbyterian in Philadelphia will be the opening speaker for the
event. Ryken is the author of numerous books and commentaries
and one who has a heart for mercy ministries.
March and Mariam Bell will also
be featured at the conference. March is special counsel for the
Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and Mariam is
connected with Prison Fellowship Ministries. She has spoken at
several CE&P and WIC events. They are members of McLean PCA in
McLean, Va.
Amy Sherman has become a regular
at these events. She is a national expert in Charitable Choice
and is an advisor to the White House of Faith-Based Ministries.
Sherman has authored a number of books relating to mercy
ministry. She is a member of the Trinity PCA in Charlottesville,
Va.
Along with these feature
speakers, the conference has scheduled a number of seminars for
