Christian Education and Publications is creating a quarterly e-newsletter for those involved in children’s ministries in the local church. This communication is important in the overall ministry of CE&P to carry out its mission to make disciples. Psalm 71:17-18 have become defining verses for CE&P, “O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.” The goal of the e-newsletter is to encourage the recipients to become heralds in their own church—heralds proclaiming the urgency of reaching the next generation for Christ. The e-newsletter is projected to begin in late Spring of 2007. Sue Jakes, Christian Education Specialist for CE&P, will be the coordinator of this project.
