Christian Education and Publications’ annual Women’s Ministry Leadership Training Conference will be held in Atlanta, February 28- March 1, 2008. Why should you come? What will you learn? What do you take back to the local church or PresWIC? This conference continues to be at the forefront of CEP’s ministry of equipping PresWIC and local church women’s leadership. It is an intense weekend that focuses women in leadership on the privileges and responsibilities of biblical discipleship. There is a strong emphasis on context (the church) and content (the Word). This year, Dr. Roy Taylor, Stated Clerk of the PCA, will challenge the attendees to understand that we are part of something bigger and how important it is that we as women in the church embrace and live out our theology. Pastor Allan Johnson of Old Peachtree PCA, Duluth, GA, will be leading a plenary session on the centrality of the Word. This intense, strategic time continues to be valued by women who serve in various leadership roles. Here are some responses from prior attendees. Please use them to promote, encourage, and support this training and equipping opportunity of the PCA. “The conference teaches the big picture: the place of the
Bible study in the context of the whole ministry of the church… how does
women’s ministry support and extend the pulpit ministry and the vision of
the session?” “I am indeed grateful to our denomination for the prayerful
and faithful commitment they have to women’s ministry through PresWIC
leadership.” “The annual Leadership Training event serves to refocus me
on the big picture of local women’s ministry. I gain a renewed excitement
for sharing the gift of biblical womanhood and its implications for the role
of women in my church’s overall ministry” “I have grown to appreciate covenantal connections at a
national level, helping us to find one another, encourage each other, and
edify one another in ministry. It is a delight to share my life with these
women.”
