"Slowing Economy Affects Donations to Non-Profits"

"Recession Takes Bite
out of Church Funds"

"Church Offerings Drop in Recession"

These are difficult times for charities and ministries, and Christian Education and Publications is no exception. As a number of PCA churches have been forced to reduce their budgets and cut their giving to benevolent causes, CEP has lost a significant portion of its income base.

If you have read this issue of Equip to Disciple, you can see how we are working to equip PCA churches to make disciples and impact the next generation with the truth of the gospel and a transforming biblical world and life view. The ripple effect of training leaders who minister to our youth, children, women and men is immeasurable; but we need you to continue!

So we ask you to•••

• Pray for the ministry of CEP as we labor with reduced resources.

• Ask your local church Session to consider increasing what your church gives to CEP, giving a special one-time gilt, or adding CEP to its benevolence budget if it has not already done so.

• Make a tax-deductlble contribution to CEP yourself. If each one of our readers gave $25, $50 or $100, we could erase our operating deficit and be of even greater assistance to churches at such a lime as this.
