2009 Women’s Leadership Training Conference

For the first time, CEP took the Women in the Church leadership Conference on the road. It was truly a mountain top experience as over two hundred women traveled to Lookout Mountain, Georgia. March 10-12, 2009, to the PCA’s Covenant College.

Overture 9

The 36th General Assembly, after many hours of committee and floor debate, answered Overture 9 in the negative, declining to establish a study committee. Biblical Discipleship

The strategy for this purpose, and for all of Christian education, is found in the Titus 2 Mandate, given to the pastor of the church. Biblical discipleship is rooted in God’s Word, sharing life-on-life and precept-upon-precept. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be reviled.
