As CEP prepares for
the 2009 Leadership Training Conference and partnering with Mission to
North America in planning the 2000 PCA Mercy Conference, we want to
highlight a kingdom couple and kingdom writing that benefits
individual and churches in compassionate and word centered hope to
those who grieve. Nancy will be leading a seminar at the Women’s
Ministry Leadership Training Conference and she and David will be
leading a seminar at the Mercy Conference.

In
today’s modern world, few parents have to face the bitter task of
burying a child they love. But David and Nancy Guthrie have faced the
grave twice now, burying two children who lived only six months—a
daughter, Hope, and a son, Gabriel. Those who have watched this couple
walk through such loss, and the millions who have read their story
worldwide in TIME Magazine and USA Today have wondered
at their ability to emerge from such sorrow with their faith and their
family intact.
