The 2008 Women in the Church Love Gift
Program Information

Thank you for participating in the 2008 Love Gift program benefiting Christian Education and Publications. Below are some ideas and a checklist for you to use in preparing for the program.

• View the DVD/video immediately. If there are any problems with the quality, call us so we can send another copy.
• The program is approximately 6 minutes. Be sure to allot this amount of time. Due to the nature of the video, it is important that participants see the video from the beginning. Please allow for latecomers to settle in before starting the video.
• We suggest you publicize before the presentation and during the program have someone give a brief explanation of the WIC Love Gift purpose, history, and significance.
• Showing the annual WIC Love Gift in your church does several things. It educates the people in the pew, promotes unity and greater understanding of the PCA, and provides a good opportunity for funds to be appropriately channeled to specific ministry needs. This video, in particular, can serve as encouragement and a challenge for your congregation to get involved in the process discipling the next generation.
• There are many ways and places that you can use the video in your church:
      o a monthly or weekly women’s meeting,
      o a family night dinner for the entire church,
      o a combined youth and adult Sunday school,
      o a Sunday evening church service.
      o the conclusion of (or immediately after) Sunday worship.
      o a presbytery or PresWIC event.
  You may think of other creative avenues as well.
   
• If you will show the program to a large group of people, we suggest that you use an LCD projector and a computer with DVD capability.
• The 2008 Love Gift Video is yours to keep! You do not need to return it to Atlanta. You may want to place it in your church library.
• Offering: So that we can track the contributions received from your church, ask individuals to make their checks out to your church, designated for the Love Gift. Then send one check from the church made payable to the 2008 WIC Love Gift. CEP will receipt individuals who make contributions directly to the Love Gift. The website also offers other opportunities and giving methods.
• Free bulletin inserts are recommended and are available in packages of 50. These can be ordered from the CEP Bookstore (1-800-283-1357).
