Kevin Twit
Kevin was raised in
Baltimore MD and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston (BS
in Music Production and Engineering, 1986 Magna Cum Laude). He
then moved to Nashville where he worked as a recording engineer
for several years and played guitar for Warner Bros. artist
David Mullen, recording 2 albums with the group.
In 1992 Kevin went
off to Covenant Theological Seminary (MDiv 1995, Magna Cum
Laude) and then was called in 1995 to be both College Pastor at
Christ Community Church (PCA) and RUF Campus Minister at Belmont
University in Nashville TN. In August 2003 Kevin left the staff
of the church to work fulltime with RUF (Reformed University
Fellowship) at Belmont.
One of the results
of working with college students at Belmont, many of whom are
musicians, has been the production of 4 cds of old hymns set to
new music
www.igracemusic.com. These cds, Indelible Grace, Pilgrim
Days, For All The Saints, and Beams of Heaven have been well
received and have helped nurture the movement of rediscovering
hymns among college students.
In 2002 the RUF
Hymnbook was released. In 1998, Kevin married Wendy and they
have two boys, Cooper (5) and Isaac (3) and will adopt a girl
from China, Amelia, in the summer of 2005. Kevin enjoys playing
with his kids, reading old books, Frisbee golf, and making
music.
