Panel Description:
The Gospel Translated to Urban Teen Girls: where Urban and
Suburban
Roads Meet
Most people think
of "Urban" as an address-inner city and poverty, but in today's
society, "Urban" is a way of thinking and a way of life. No
matter if a young teen girl grows up in poverty or in a
two-parent Christian home, the "urban" worldview and lifestyle
is becoming a reality for all.
Jennifer’s desire is to help equip women to effectively minister
to and encourage teen girls in the faith. Although her work has
been primarily with geographical "urban" teens, today's teen
girls with suburban addresses are also becoming "urban" in their
worldview and lifestyles. In her seminar ladies will learn
about the "urban, hip-hop" worldview and culture, what needs are
arising in young women because of this worldview and ways to
lead and encourage these girls through God's Word and Titus 2
mentoring. |
