Betty Jean
Wolfe
Betty Jean Wolfe
gave up a lucrative corporate career as a Financial Systems
Manager to pursue her commitment to increasing the health of
Philadelphia area teenagers and families by becoming a fulltime
Abstinence Educator with the Urban Family Council in March 1999.
This decision culminated more than two years of volunteer work
she provided Urban Family Council and four years of work with
New Life Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia as a Junior/Senior
High School Youth Group Leader.
Underscoring her passion for Philadelphia
youth and families, Betty Jean became President of Urban Family
Council in July 2002. The focus of Urban Family Council is to
provide character-based health education and youth development
to students and their families. Under Betty Jean’s leadership
Urban Family Council is taking Biblical principles into the
public arena.
