July 7 - 12, 2008 Covenant College, Lookout Mountain, GA Have you ever thought about the number of times you will be asked to COMMIT to something during the course of your life? Probably not. Yet, your life is full of commitments. During the course of one day you may be asked to make or fulfill commitments to your friends, your school, your sports team, your band, your youth group, and your parents. For most people, making the commitment is the easy part. It is the keeping of that commitment that is difficult. It is into our commitment challenged culture that Jesus enters and tells us that He expects His followers to completely COMMIT their lives to Him. That is intense. Jesus calls you to COMMIT your life to Him.
com·mit: to pledge or give of oneself to a Join high school students from around the PCA this summer at YXL as we explore such topics as what it means to take up your cross and follow Christ and what being a leader with a Reformed world and live view looks like. Our speakers, seminar leaders, and worship leader will challenge you to a deeper relationship with Jesus. The activities will give you opportunity to put what you have been learning into practice, and the friendships you make at YXL will be deep and lasting. The purpose of the YXL conference is to be used by the Lord to gather the best, brightest and endorsed High School students of the PCA and help them grow in the areas of Christian Leadership Development; embracing a Reformed World and Life view, Godly leadership principles and connecting with other kindred-spirit students at the conference and beyond.
